Amazon Prime Day 2019 broke records and reached higher sales than Black Friday and Cyber Monday combined, says source.
Amazon’s Prime Day was the retailer’s longest ever Prime Day, bumping the “Day” up to 48 hours. During those 48 hours, members purchased 175 million items, which was up significantly from the 100 million items sold across 2018’s 36-hour sales event.
Further to Amazon’s success, the number of Prime sign-up on the first day of this year’s sales event, were the highest of any Amazon Prime Day’s record.
Amazon claimed that worldwide Prime members saved over one billion dollars on purchases, and millions of items were shipped in one day or less.
