Amazon have announced they are constructing a new air freight hub, which is situated in Fort Worth Alliance Airport in Texas. It is expected for the freight hub to be completed and running  by early 2019.

Amazon’s new hub for air freight has challenged FedEd, as FedEx is claimed to be the current sole commercial operator at Alliance Airport. It is also reported that FedEx has faced competition since Amazon’s Air expansion has grown.

Amazon was founded in 1994, and has since become the world’s second trillion-dollar company in September 2018. Plans to grow the business even more across the globe with actions such as the construction of air hubs like Texas’ may cause strain on other freight and courier services.
